Fonctions du S-100MM Fast Ethernet Fibre à Fibre: 100Base-FX à 100Base-X
Link Pass-Through | Lorsque cette fonctionnalité est activée, l'état du récepteur sur l'une des interfaces 100Base-X est utilisé par l'autre transmetteur fibre 100Base-X. Si cette fonctionnalité est désactivée, les interfaces fibre 100Base-X opèrent de façon indépendante. Le signal Far-End Fault sur l'interface fibre 100Base-FX n'a aucun effet sur l'autre interface.L'association des fonctionnalités Link Pass-Through et de Far-End Fault atténue les pertes de données en cas de panne. En cas de panne, les terminaux disposent d'une indication de la panne qui permet de faciliter le dépannage. |
Far-End Fault (FEF) | Lorsqu'il est activé, le convertisseur de médias transmet le signal Far-End Fault sur le lien fibre en cas de détection d'un signal d'échec de la réception. Le convertisseur de médias supervise de façon continue la connexion fibre et supprime l'état Far-End Fault dès qu'un signal valide est reçu. Si cette fonctionnalité est désactivée, les signaux Far-End Fault ne sont pas transmis quel que soit l'état du signal de réception sur la connexion fibre 100Base-X.L'action choisie par le convertisseur de médias lors de la réception d'un signal Far-End Fault ne peut se faire que si le commutateur est en position Link Pass Through. |
Régénération des signaux | La régénération des signaux préserve l'intégrité du signal et autorise un maximum de connexions fibre vers fibre sans dégradation du signal. |
En cascade | Les convertisseurs de médias peuvent être montés en cascade. Deux ou plusieurs convertisseurs peuvent être montés en chaîne sur un même lien pour en accroître la portée. |
Pause (IEEE 802.3xy) | Le signal de pause est une fonction IEEE qui interrompt momentanément la transmission des données entre deux périphériques dès que l'un d'eux est surchargé. Le convertisseur de médias est transparent pour les trames de pause. |
VLAN | Le convertisseur de médias est transparent pour les paquets VLAN 802.1Q taggés. |
Remote Loopback | Le convertisseur de médias peut procéder à un bouclage sur chaque interface fibre 100Base-X. |

Link Pass Through | Enabled (Default) - When the state of the receiver is changed on one of the 100Base-X interfaces it is reflected on the other 100Base-X fiber transmitter. If disabled, the 100Base-X fiber interfaces operate independently. Far-End Fault indication on the 100Base-FX fiber interface has no effect on the other interface. |
Far-End Fault (FEF) | Enabled ( default ) - The media converter transmits the Far-End Fault Indication over the fiber connection whenever a receive failure is detected. The media converter continuously monitors the fiber connection and clears the Far-End Fault Indication condition when a valid signal is received.
Enabled - The 100Base-X receiver is looped to the 100Base-X transmitter. Link #2's fiber transmitter is taken off the interface. |
Remote Loopback #1 | The media converter can perform a loopback on the link #1 fiber interface.
Disabled (Default - Up) Enabled - The 100Base-X receiver is looped to the 100Base-X transmitter. The 100Base-TX transmitter is taken off the interface. |
Remote Loopback #2 | The media converter can perform a loopback on the link #1 fiber interface.
